In a small town in Maine youʼve never heard of, a 5 year-old Jeff Muzerolle saw Buddy Rich on television. The next day he threw together a drumkit made of old pots and pans, buckets, and a wooden chair. Later that year he received a toy drumkit for Christmas. The rest is history, and here it is in a nutshell:

Jeff played his first professional gig at age 12 with a classic rock bar band. The stage was protected by chicken wire. The next year he did his first recording session: a full- length record with a punk trio, recorded entirely in his basement. After spending his teens gigging all over the northeast with rock and country bands, Jeff won a scholarship to Berklee College of Music. While there he studied with Kenwood Dennard, Larry Finn, Dave Dicenso, and many others. Jeff graduated in 1999 Summa Cum Laude and went on to become one of Bostonʼs most in-demand drummers. He has performed on tours worldwide and has done recordings for Universal Music Group, Sony Music, countless independent labels and major motion picture soundtracks. Jeff’s approach to the drumset is centered on precision, musicality, and emotion. His influences include musicians such as Elvin Jones, John Bonham, Tony Williams, Terry Bozzio, Vinnie Colaiuta, Steve Gadd, Jim Keltner, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Frank Zappa, Trent Reznor, Jaco Pastorius, and many others.

More recently Jeff has grown into audio production/engineering. Working under the tutelage of producer David Minehan, Jeff has honed his craft on the ‘other side of the glass’ and has earned himself a reputation for producing records that are musical, sonically vibrant, innovative, and honest. In addition to his production efforts Jeff has also ventured into the film scoring world. His music has been heard on episodes of Hell’s Kitchen, Millionaire Matchmaker, Simply Ming, and other television programs. He has also scored several short films and has provided music for projects ranging from exercise videos to educational media.

A small sampling of musicians Jeff has worked with: Serj Tankian (System Of A Down), Taylor Dane, Eddie Kirkland, Ron Carter, Kate Taylor, Al Cooper, David Minehan, and many others. Jeff now resides in Los Angeles where he works as a session/live drummer, film composer, and audio producer/engineer.
