The MuzMusic Team
Jeff Muzerolle is an audio producer/engineer, composer/arranger, drummer, and educator.
He has worked as an independent producer at Los Angeles commercial studios including EastWest, Green Room, MartinSound, and Larabbee. He has also been involved in sessions at the legendary Abbey Road and Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios.
As composer/producer, in addition to countless independent artists, he has written and/or produced music for internationally syndicated television programs, national commercial spots and feature films. Jeff’s music can be heard on dozens of television shows airing on Bravo, Animal Planet, Discovery, TLC, ABC, NBC, and PBS.
While aiming to be versatile due to his love of all musical genres, Jeff’s music is specifically influenced by orchestral composers, including Bach, Stravinsky, Shoenberg, Copeland, Ives, and Cage. Jeff also claims much influence from 21st-century electronic artists, including Trent Reznor, Daft Punk, Deadmau5, Aphex Twin, and Squarepusher.
Jeff utilizes many different sonic techniques to create music that supports the storytelling aspect of visual productions. Whether it be digital or analog, sound sources are all fair game. As a drummer by trade, rhythm is always a crucial element of the music Jeff writes; close attention is always given to meter and tempo. The goal is to seamlessly utilize rhythm, harmony, and melody to create soundscapes that convey emotion, tell a story, and engage the listener.
As an educator, Jeff has spent over 16 years sharing his knowledge and experience with students. He has taught classroom audio production classes as well as private instruction in audio engineering/production, composition, audio post-production, and drumset performance.

Brendan Burns

Brendan is a Boston-based composer, guitarist, producer, arranger, music director, and educator. In addition to being a treasured co-composer for Jeff, he also provides world-class guitar tracks to our production music projects.
His compositions include many different genres that feature acoustic and electric guitar. He has worked extensively in the production music industry, and his work can be heard around the world in various formats.
Brendan also has extensive experience as a music educator, having taught privately and for several schools in the greater Boston area.
Dixie Doo
Studio Security, Gentle Giant
Dixie is a 7 year old catahoula leopard rescue. After greeting clients when they arrive, she prefers to stand guard outside the studio during sessions. Her 85lbs of solid muscle keeps the riff-raff away, but she secretly knows that she would never hurt anyone except for the neighborhood cats.

Hire Jeff to play, or come play your own tracks. We offer a full compliment of instruments by Gretsch, Paiste, Yamaha, Slingerland, Ludwig, PorkPie, and DW. Mic pres include Neve, API, and Focusrite. Microphones by Neumann, Sennheiser, AKG, Shure, and Earthworks.
Music Composition

A tailored approach ensures that all students receive the guidance and support they need to progress. Jeff’s curriculum places heavy emphasis on technical excellence coupled with hands-on experience.
